St. George Island

Last week we ventured down to the Gulf of Mexico to St. George Island. Needless to say, it's our new favorite beach!! The sand is bright white and powdery and the water is clear. There's a whole lot of nothing to do there which is what we love! Nothing but beach!  Abram couldn't wait to make his way down to the beach so we got settled into the house and made our way to the beach to check it out.

Sunday was Father's Day. We hung out on the beach most of the day, buried David in the sand and went back to the house to cook dinner for our favorite guy.

Jase wakes up with the chickens every morning so we went out of the porch and enjoyed our coffee and milk together.

Aram and I went and checked out some of the local shops. He needed a hat that would cover his ears and neck so off we went to see what we could find.  While we were out, Abram had to check out the kayaks and he is determined to ride in one at some point.

We hung out on the beach most of the week. We took a little trip to Cape San Blas one day to check it out. Went to the state park and got out for a few minutes there.

Abram couldn't get enough of the beach and the water and Jase finally figured out how to be a beach babe a few days in.

We got all ready for the beach and lathered up in sunscreen and it started to rain. So we sat on the porch and watched it rain.

(the one and only family picture that we took...nailed it!)

We caught tons of sand dollars, a few starfish, a hermit crab and a sand crab.

Abram was feeding the hermit crab some sweet feed.

Jase clearly didn't mind the sand!

In the evenings we rode our bikes a few times and got ice cream!

The weather was perfect to eat our breakfasts and dinners out on the porch. The boys loved it!

There was a lighthouse on the island that you could climb up in and check out the view. Abram was on a mission to get to that light house and climb it. Unfortunately he wasn't quite tall enough so sitting on the steps sufficed.

It rained for most of the morning and through lunch on our last day so we got out of the house and went to lunch, came back and got some much needed naps and headed to the beach a little later in the day.

We had a fabulous time in SGI and we can't wait to go back next year!

Our ride home was not as fabulous...
more on that in another post!

#PruittAndRedAreWed

Memorial Day weekend we got to celebrate the marriage of our sweet friends, Rosie and Michael!
We had such a good time at their beautiful wedding. It was at the Ashford Manor, a B &B in Watkinsville.

Of course my only picture of the bride and groom and it's blurry!

I had the pleasure of being a reader in the wedding and read the Blessing of the Hands.
We couldn't be happier for you two love birds!!

And a little mantel update if you remember from a few week ago. It's finished and they used it in the wedding. It looked great!

Pool Fun and Dinner Dates

Saturday the weather was perfect so we spent the afternoon at the pool with some of our sweet friends! Abram and Kate swam like little fishes, Jase was a momma's boy (naturally) and baby Bruce go a good little nap in. They all had a blast!

They did a little snacking. The pool must make you extra hungry!

After the pool we all went and got some pizza.
Abram and Kate's first official date! ;)

We had such a good time and can't wait to do it again!

Summertime Fun!

We are enjoying these longer days. More time to play right?  We put Jase in the swing for the first time and he loved it and of course Abram can't get enough of it.

And there's nothing better in the summer time than a good popsicle for a teething baby!

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer, too!
