Sunday was Father's Day. We hung out on the beach most of the day, buried David in the sand and went back to the house to cook dinner for our favorite guy.
Jase wakes up with the chickens every morning so we went out of the porch and enjoyed our coffee and milk together.
Aram and I went and checked out some of the local shops. He needed a hat that would cover his ears and neck so off we went to see what we could find. While we were out, Abram had to check out the kayaks and he is determined to ride in one at some point.
We hung out on the beach most of the week. We took a little trip to Cape San Blas one day to check it out. Went to the state park and got out for a few minutes there.
Abram couldn't get enough of the beach and the water and Jase finally figured out how to be a beach babe a few days in.
We got all ready for the beach and lathered up in sunscreen and it started to rain. So we sat on the porch and watched it rain.
(the one and only family picture that we took...nailed it!)
We caught tons of sand dollars, a few starfish, a hermit crab and a sand crab.
Abram was feeding the hermit crab some sweet feed.
Jase clearly didn't mind the sand!
In the evenings we rode our bikes a few times and got ice cream!
The weather was perfect to eat our breakfasts and dinners out on the porch. The boys loved it!
There was a lighthouse on the island that you could climb up in and check out the view. Abram was on a mission to get to that light house and climb it. Unfortunately he wasn't quite tall enough so sitting on the steps sufficed.
It rained for most of the morning and through lunch on our last day so we got out of the house and went to lunch, came back and got some much needed naps and headed to the beach a little later in the day.
We had a fabulous time in SGI and we can't wait to go back next year!
Our ride home was not as fabulous...
more on that in another post!
